Waste coal represents a major environmental hazard throughout the entire
Northern and Central Appalachian region. Historically, waste coal has been a byproduct of coal
processing and cleaning that occurred at major mine facilities. It
has only recently come to be viewed as a useable fuel source. Waste
coal reserves represent two primary revenue opportunities:
Co-generation steam fuel and traditional steam and metallurgical
coal markets. Targe Energy operates multiple waste coal mining sites in Northern
and Central Appalachia. |
